Royal LePage lists 15,878 agents on its Canadian office rosters as of our 2026-08-07 scan. That figure comes from re-reading the brokerage directories themselves every week — not from an annual survey — so it moves when the market does.

How we count — and why it differs from CREA

CREA reported roughly 158,000 REALTOR® members nationally as of early 2026. That is a license count — everyone holding membership, whether or not they are actively attached to an office roster. We measure something different: agents actually published on brokerage office rosters across the national networks we track, re-read every week. Rosters exclude license-parkers and pick up new agents only when their office lists them, so our number runs lower and moves weekly. Neither number is wrong; they answer different questions. If you are sizing a market, licensing tells you how many people could practice — rosters tell you who is actually on a team today.
